Our Chapter has an active relationship with App State ROTC. Besides providing funding for one of their major competitions, Mountain Man March, held in TN each year, we have also provide leadership awards to outstanding cadre. In turn, their internal club, Scabbard and Blade, providing 18 members, was a valuable asset in assisting the Chapter in identifying grave sites of veterans at Mount Lawn Cemetery, prior to our placing of flags for Veterans’Day 2024 . LTC Adam Greene, Professor and Chair Dept of of Military Science and Leadership, is a member of our Chapter Board of Directors.

App State ROTC Cadets joined the Chapter in placing the 651 flags at Mount Lawn Cemetery on Memorial day and Veterans’ Day each since 2023. The Cadets came from both the App State Scabbard and Blade Club and the App State -ROTC Residential Learning Community. Well Done!

In March 2025, Our Chapter donated $1000.00 to help defray cost for those App State ROTC cadets participating in the Mountain Man Memorial March in Gatlinburg, TN in April. The hallmark of the March is Honor Through Action. The event is centered around honoring Fallen Service Members and Gold Star Families. Details in link below
