Our Chapter has a strong role in working with the young men and women who are cadets in the JROTC program at Watauga High School. For the last four years, chapter volunteers, from each service, have conducted a briefing, with the cadets, to give them an insight into each military service, along with a brief bio of their individual experiences. This year we are also including the Army JROTC Program at Avery High School.
Avery High School Army JROTC
During 22-26 Sept, members of our chapter were involved in a lecture series with the JROTC at Avery High School. Each morning, from 8:30 – 9:30, members from different military branch of service provided insight as to their military background, service to the community and answered questions pertained to their branch.
During the 5 weeks in October, our Chapter representatives presented the lecture series to Watauga High School MCJROTC Cadets.
Thank you to all those who are giving their time to provide pertained information to these young men and women. Thanks to LTC David Hollis for his coordination. WHS MCJROTC”s program will be held in Oct.
